We had an absolute blast exploring the Sanford Farmers Market with Miles & Neptune this morning! Nestled close to downtown Sanford, right across from City Hall in Central Park, this small yet vibrant market is a bustling hub of excitement, offering something for everyone. Open every Saturday from May through October, with a special market the Saturday before Thanksgiving, you can join in the fun from 8 AM to noon. Here are some of the incredible vendors we discovered:

Abby’s Apothecary from Wells – Abby’s Apothecary is a treasure trove of bath salts and holistic health products, all locally sourced and produced. From soothing bath salts to healing balms, everything is crafted with care and intention. It’s the perfect place to find natural remedies and pamper yourself! The scents alone will draw you in and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Bella’s Greens from Sanford – Bella’s Greens brings a splash of color and deliciousness with their vibrant flowers and amazing baked goods. Whether you’re looking to brighten up your home or treat yourself to a scrumptious snack, their booth is a must-visit. The friendly atmosphere and delightful aromas make it even more inviting. You won’t be able to resist their freshly baked goodies!

Big Tree Herb Farm from Lebanon – If you’re an herb enthusiast, Big Tree Herb Farm is your paradise! They offer an impressive variety of herbs, from everyday staples like basil, mint, and oregano to unique finds such as mugwort, red clover, and nettle. All their culinary and medicinal herbs are locally grown, ensuring the freshest and highest quality. Their knowledgeable staff is always ready to share tips and tricks for using their herbs.

Fruit of the Shroom LLC from Sanford – Dedicated to spreading awareness of the health benefits of mushrooms, Fruit of the Shroom offers an array of dried mushrooms, soups, teas, and tinctures. The Humble Loaf Bakery from Sanford – The Humble Loaf Bakery specializes in a variety of bread and baked goods that are simply irresistible. Their products are so popular that they were nearly sold out by the time we arrived! To ensure you don’t miss out, consider preordering on their website for market pickup. Their delicious offerings are worth every bite, and the aroma of freshly baked bread is simply heavenly.

Kelly Orchards from Acton – Kelly Orchards brings a bounty of fruit, including loads of juicy strawberries and blueberries. Their fruits are sweet, fresh, and perfect for snacking or baking. It’s a delightful stop for anyone with a sweet tooth. The taste of their perfectly ripened fruits will transport you straight to summer.
Labachey Farmstead from Newfield – Tempted by their maple chicken sausage, we will definitely be back next time! Labachey Farmstand also offers other meats and cheeses, all sourced from their farm. It’s a fantastic spot for finding local, high-quality products to elevate your meals. The rich flavors and quality of their products make them a standout at the market.
Lally Luck Farm from North Berwick – Lally Luck Farm specializes in edible plants for your home gardens and landscaping. Their wide selection of plants can enhance any garden, and their knowledgeable staff is always ready to help you choose the perfect additions. It’s a gardener’s dream come true. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a novice, you’ll find something to love here.
Maine Tamales from Wells – These guys are a hot commodity! Maine Tamales sold out quickly and were packing up by the time we arrived at 10 AM. Their tamales are definitely a must-try, so make sure to get there early to snag some of these delicious treats. The rich, savory flavors of their tamales are worth setting your alarm for!
Michaud Family Farm from Lyman – Offering beef and jams straight from the farm, Michaud Family Farm provides local, high-quality products that are a joy to bring home. You can also visit their farm in Lyman seasonally for strawberry picking, adding a fun outing to your shopping experience. Their friendly smiles and delicious samples make each visit a pleasure.
Narrow Gate Homestead from Lebanon – This is where we picked up Nep’s quail eggs. The friendly woman at the booth has a passion for educating people on how to grow their own food and offers workshops on their farm. They sell meat, eggs, and produce, making it a great stop for learning and shopping. Their dedication to sustainable living is truly inspiring.

Nerdy Turnip Farm from Rochester, New Hampshire – More than just turnips, Nerdy Turnip Farm offers radishes, zucchini, squash, and more. Their variety and quality make them a standout vendor at the market, and their colorful produce is sure to catch your eye. Their enthusiasm for farming is contagious, and their produce is as fresh as it gets.
Nokomis Nuts from Shapleigh – Who doesn’t love free samples? Nokomis Nuts offers nut butters with no added ingredients, allowing you to taste the pure, natural flavors. My favorite was the Nokomis blend, a delightful mix of almond and cashew butter. It’s a must-try! The rich, creamy textures and flavors will leave you wanting more.

Possum Hollow Farm Soap from Sanford – With so many scents to choose from, Possum Hollow Farm Soap is a sensory delight. My favorites were the basil sage mint, eucalyptus mint lemon, and lemongrass cedar. Each scent is unique and invigorating, making it hard to choose just one. Their soaps are a luxurious treat for your skin.
Two Toad Farm from Lebanon – Offering Greek yogurts and cheese, as well as produce, Two Toad Farm offers delicious and fresh dairy products that are perfect for any meal. Their yogurts and cheeses are creamy, flavorful, and made with care. Each bite of their products is a testament to their dedication to quality.
Everyone at the Sanford Farmers Market was super friendly and amazing. They had a few tables for kid activities, and you can even get a $4 voucher for kids at the info tent so they can pick out a little fruit or veggie for themselves. Most vendors accept Venmo or Square, but cash is always preferred, especially for small purchases. The market’s lively atmosphere and friendly vendors make it a highlight of any visit to Sanford.
