I’ve moved away quite a few times, chasing adventures far and wide, but somehow, the pine-scented air and rugged coastline always call me back. Southern Maine’s beaches are where my love for the ocean was born. From the bustling Old Orchard Beach with its nostalgic pier and amusement park to the serene sands of Ogunquit and its famous Marginal Way coastal walk, each beach has its own unique vibe. Layla’s academic journey took her all the way up to the northern tip of the state – the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Northern Maine is a world apart, a land of untamed wilderness and endless outdoor adventures. This region is for the true nature enthusiasts, where the landscapes are dominated by dense forests, sprawling lakes, and the majestic Allagash Wilderness Waterway.
